Byeon Mu-Jin was married to Geum Ye-Yeon (Kim Ji-Soo) Romance in the House. They had a daughter, Byeon Mi-Rae (Son Na-Eun), and a son, Byeon Hyun-Jae (Yoon San-Ha), during their marriage. Despite various business ventures, Byeon Mu-Jin faced repeated failures. This led to immense strain on the family, and eventually, they decided to cut ties with him. After the divorce, Geum Ye-Yeon faced significant challenges raising her two children on her own. Now, 11 years later, she works part-time at a large mart. Her children have grown up: Byeon Mi-Rae has taken on the role of the family’s breadwinner, working as an MD at the same mart, while Byeon Hyun-Jae, with his unique charm, remains the family’s troublemaker.
One day, Byeon Mu-Jin reappears in their lives as the owner of the villa where they reside. He hopes to reunite with Geum Ye-Yeon and attempts to win her back, much to the dismay of their daughter, Byeon Mi-Rae, who vehemently opposes the idea. In contrast, Byeon Hyun-Jae supports his father’s efforts at reconciliation.
In the midst of this family turmoil, Byeon Mi-Rae becomes involved with Nam Tae-Pyeong (Minho), a former national taekwondo team member who now works as security at the mart. Unbeknownst to Mi-Rae, Tae-Pyeong hides his true identity and the fact that his father is the owner of the mart.
This story revolves around the complexities of family bonds, the struggles of single parenthood, and the unexpected turns that life can take, bringing estranged loved ones back together.
