A wealthy family living in Los Angeles begins to experience a series of strange and terrifying supernatural events Exhuma. Desperate for help, they reach out to two famous young shamans, Hwa-Rim (played by Kim Go-Eun) and Bong-Gil (played by Lee Do-Hyun). The duo, known for their unique abilities and deep connection to the spiritual world, arrives to investigate the haunting.
As Hwa-Rim delves deeper into the mystery, she discovers that the eerie occurrences are not random but are deeply tied to the family’s ancestor. Realizing that the key to ending the torment lies in their ancestral past, Hwa-Rim decides to seek help from Feng Shui expert Sang-Deok (played by Choi Min-Sik) and undertaker Young-Geun (played by Yu Hae-Jin). Together, they trace the origin of the supernatural disturbances to a remote village in South Korea, where the family’s ancestor is buried.
With the family’s fate hanging in the balance, the group embarks on a journey to the village, where they uncover the ancestor’s grave and begin the daunting task of unearthing the secrets buried with it. As they dig deeper—both literally and metaphorically—they encounter unforeseen dangers and dark truths that have been hidden for generations, all while racing against time to free the family from the curse that haunts them.
