Connection-Korean-Drama

Plot

Jang Jae-Kyeong (Ji Sung) is a top detective on the drug task force at Anhyeon Police Station. He lives by the motto that success is weakened by personal connections and supporters, so he deliberately keeps a distance from friends, colleagues, and even his own family to avoid any potential trouble. Jang Jae-Kyeong is known for his strong convictions and unwavering principles. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he is forcibly addicted to drugs by an unknown assailant. Using the death of his friend as a vital clue, he embarks on a mission to uncover a web of corruption stemming from a 20-year-old friendship.

At the same time, Oh Yoon-Jin (Jeon Mi-Do) works as a local news reporter for the Anhyeon Economic Daily Newspaper. Known for her assertiveness and candid speech, she was unfairly fired from her previous job and struggled to find a new position in the same field. Determined to expose corruption, she returns to Anhyeon City and focuses her investigative reporting on this issue. Her path crosses with Detective Jang Jae-Kyeong, and together they delve into the dark underbelly of the city’s corruption.
