Plot
Kim Deuk-Pal (Lee Seo-Jin) is a 47-year-old gangster, ranked as the #2 man in his gang. Despite his rough upbringing and lack of formal education, Deuk-Pal harbors a dream of attending university. He’s been diligently studying to achieve this goal, but it’s been a challenging journey.
One fateful day, Kim Deuk-Pal encounters a young man, Song Yi-Heon (Yoon Chan-Young), on the brink of suicide. In a twist of fate, Deuk-Pal’s spirit ends up possessing the body of the 19-year-old high school student. Soon, he discovers that Yi-Heon has been driven to despair by relentless bullying.
Now inhabiting Yi-Heon’s body, Kim Deuk-Pal decides to confront and punish the bullies who made Yi-Heon’s life unbearable. In the process, he forms an unexpected friendship with Choi Se-Kyung (Bong Jae-Hyun), a model student who seems to have a perfect life. However, Se-Kyung is secretly enduring severe domestic violence at the hands of his father.
Through these new experiences and challenges, Kim Deuk-Pal, in Song Yi-Heon’s body, navigates the turbulent world of high school, learns about the struggles of youth, and strives to protect and support his new friends while working towards his dream of higher education.
