Plot
Himitsu: The Top Secret – At the National Research Institute of Police Science, there is Forensic Laboratory No. 9, commonly referred to as No. 9. When victims or suspects of serious crimes pass away, their brains are placed into a specialized MRI scanner. This scanner enables an MRI investigation that visualizes the memories of the deceased.
Tsuyoshi Maki (Rihito Itagaki) is one of the founding members of No. 9 and serves as its director. Known for his distinctive appearance, he possesses an extraordinary memory and keen insight. However, tragedy strikes when his best friend and colleague, Katsuhiro Suzuki (Yuto Nakajima), dies in an incident.
Not long after, Ikko Aoki (also played by Yuto Nakajima), a rookie investigator who bears an uncanny resemblance to Katsuhiro Suzuki, is assigned to No. 9. As Tsuyoshi Maki and Ikko Aoki work together to tackle challenging cases, they gradually develop a deep bond, becoming indispensable partners.
