Plot
In Melting Me Softly – Due to a mysterious conspiracy, a man and a woman who participated in a 24-hour freezing project wake up 20 years later instead of just 24 hours. To survive, they must keep their average core body temperature at 31.5°C. As they navigate this new reality, their relationship begins to develop romantically.
Ma Dong-Chan (Ji Chang-Wook) is a PD working on a popular variety show. He and other participants joined the variety show’s 24-hour freezing project. Ma Dong-Chan is meant to awaken 24 hours after being frozen, but when he finally comes to, he discovers that 20 years have passed. Although he appears the same as when he was frozen, everyone around him—his parents, younger brother, girlfriend, and co-workers—has aged significantly. To survive, Ma Dong-Chan must maintain his average core body temperature at 33°C.
