Plot of Mother and Mom 2025
In Mother and Mom 2025 Lee Jung-Eun (Jeon Hye-Jin) is a hardworking mother raising her 7-year-old daughter, Hong Seo-Yoon (Kim Sa-Rang), in the highly competitive neighborhood of Daechi-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul. Like many other mothers in the area, she is deeply invested in her daughter’s education and is determined to give her the best opportunities.
In pursuit of academic success for her child, Jung-Eun decides to enroll Seo-Yoon in a prestigious private institute. However, balancing work and her daughter’s education is challenging, so she turns to her own mother, Yoon Ji-A (Jo Min-Soo), for support. Ji-A, who raised Jung-Eun alone as a single mother, now steps in to help by driving her granddaughter to and from the private institute.
Their story highlights the pressures of competitive education in Korea, the sacrifices parents make for their children, and the complex dynamics between three generations of women navigating love, ambition, and family responsibility.
