Plot of Oh My Ghost (2015)
Na Bong-Sun (played by Park Bo-Young) works as an assistant chef in a bustling restaurant Oh My Ghost. Due to her shy and introverted nature, she struggles with low self-esteem and has difficulty making friends. From a young age, she has been able to see ghosts, a gift she inherited from her shaman grandmother. This ability only adds to her isolation, as she tries to avoid the spirits that constantly surround her.
One day, Na Bong-Sun’s life takes a dramatic turn when she becomes possessed by the spirit of Shin Soon-Ae, a bold and flirtatious ghost with unfinished business in the world of the living. Unlike Bong-Sun, Soon-Ae is outgoing and confident, especially when it comes to matters of love.
Kang Sun-Woo (played by Cho Jung-Seok) is a charismatic and talented star chef at the restaurant where Bong-Sun works. Although he’s admired by many women, Sun-Woo remains hung up on his ex-girlfriend, unable to move on. Na Bong-Sun has secretly harbored a crush on him for some time, but her timid personality has kept her from ever approaching him.
After Bong-Sun becomes possessed by Soon-Ae, her personality undergoes a dramatic shift. She suddenly becomes more assertive, outgoing, and flirtatious qualities that catch Sun-Woo’s attention. Intrigued by the “new” Bong-Sun, he starts to notice her in ways he never did before.
As the two grow closer, Sun-Woo finds himself drawn to this new, more confident Bong-Sun, unaware that a ghost is influencing her actions. Meanwhile, Bong-Sun must navigate the complications of being possessed while trying to win the heart of the man she loves.
