Lee Hong-Ju (Kim So-Hyun) works as an animation production PD Serendipity’s Embrace. When she was in the third grade of high school, she fell in love for the first time, but the relationship ended in a painful breakup, leaving her skeptical of love ever since. Ten years later, she unexpectedly meets Kang Hu-Young (Chae Jong-Hyeop), who witnessed her heartache in the past.
Kang Hu-Young, now a smart and handsome financial planner, returns to South Korea after a decade abroad. By what seems like fate, he reunites with his first love, Lee Hong-Ju, stirring up a strong wave of emotions.
Meanwhile, Bang Joon-Ho (Yun Ji-On), a popular and free-spirited novel writer, captures Lee Hong-Ju’s admiration as she is a big fan of his work. Her best friend, Kim Hye-Ji (Kim Da-Som), works as an English teacher and offers her support through the ups and downs.
