Lee Yeon (Lee Dong-Wook) was once the revered mountain spirit of Baekdudaegan Tale of the Nine Tailed. He sacrificed his divine status to resurrect the woman he loved, A Eum. Since then, he has lived as a nine-tailed fox in human form for hundreds of years.
Nam Ji-A (Jo Bo-Ah) works as a producer of documentaries at TVC station, focusing on supernatural stories. In 1999, her parents were involved in a car accident in Yeou Gogae, and she vividly remembers a man who saved her during that accident. While reviewing CCTV footage from a wedding hall where a bride mysteriously disappeared, Nam Ji-A sees the same man who saved her as a child walking out with a red umbrella. This man is Lee Yeon.
Driven by curiosity and a sense of destiny, Nam Ji-A delves deeper into the mystery of Lee Yeon, uncovering secrets of the supernatural world and her own past.
