Plot
Cho Yong-Pil (Ji Chang-Wook) is a weather forecaster on Jeju Island, known for his unyielding nature at the meteorological agency Welcome to Samdal-ri (2023) . He isn’t afraid to voice his opinions, even to the highest officials, especially when he believes he’s right. His motivation to become a weather forecaster stems from a tragic event in his past: his mother, a female diver, died due to an incorrect weather forecast. Born and raised in Samdalri on Jeju Island, Yong-Pil loves his hometown deeply. He still lives there, caring for the elders in the community.
Cho Sam-Dal (Shin Hae-Sun), Yong-Pil’s childhood friend, is a renowned photographer working under the alias Jo Eun-Hye in Seoul. She climbed to the top of her profession after toiling for 8 years as an assistant in the fashion photography industry. However, a significant event causes her to lose her career, leading her life to fall apart. She returns to her hometown of Samdalri, a place she once longed to escape.
Upon her return, Yong-Pil and Sam-Dal reconnect after many years. As they spend time together, their relationship evolves into a romantic one.
